Research at the undergraduate level is very valuable to students considering graduate degrees. The Milton W. Holcombe Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clemson University, Clemson, SC, is seeking applicants for the 2007 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) in Wireless Communication, May 21 to July 27. This 10-week program for top students (nominally juniors and seniors), offers participants free housing plus a $6000 stipend. The SURF Boulder Program anticipates providing research opportunities for approximately 20 SURFers at the NIST facilities in Boulder, Colorado. The program runs between May 28 and August 8, 2008 (with adjustments willing to be made to accommodate specific academic schedules) and offer the chance to participate in one of the following NIST laboratories:

The Washington Internship Institute (WII) is a premier internship program in Washington, DC, that offers hands-on experience and the chance to establish a professional network in the nation's capital. Internships in ALL fields are offered, including the sciences. The program consists of
The program cost is $3600 for Summer 2007, but the WII together with the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) offer $500 scholarships to all inducted members in Eta Kappa Nu who participate in WII's program. Scholarships may be applied to either tuition or housing.
